Yes, My Friends...

We have a baby! Little Gavin Thomas was due to arrive on March 5th but he had other plans. Laura gave birth to a precious, beautiful and perfect in every way little Gavin tonight at 9:05 P.M. He has dark hair, weighed 9 pounds, 3 ounces and is 20.75 inches long. Mom, Dad, Emma and Gavin are all doing wonderful. This is Laura's friend, Darla, blogging for her. I won't spoil her fun by giving all of the details, I will leave that fun for her. Just know that we are counting blessings tonight and I know that Laura and Curtis both appreciate and cherish your thoughts and prayers. I had the video camera tonight so I didn't get any pictures but I know others did and will see if it is okay to post one or two soon.

Big Sister / Little Brother

We decided early on in our pregnancy and requested that we not have a Baby Shower for our newest arrival for many reasons. First and foremost, I am a much better giver than a receiver so I have never been comfortable accepting gifts from others. It creates alot of anxiety in me and makes me real nervous. Yes, I even feel like this when the HOTY gives me stuff.

Literally, I thought I was going to have a heart attack through out my wedding showers and baby showers for Emma. So yes, early on we told everyone NO SHOWERS and we have received somewhat of a hard time about it from people in our family and my work. Some say it is old fashion, others say it is ridiculous and others are grateful they don't have to worry about it...I am okay and respect all of that.

We also decided that it was our 2nd baby, we just did all this 20 months ago and the economy has everyone stressed out as it is and we did not want to add to that stress for anyone. We are truly blessed and just appreciate everyone being so excited and continuing to pray for us. Believe it or not, it has worked out just fine and we have every single thing we need and more to welcome the Fourth Frazier. Trust me when I say...he is not doing without. Everyday we thank God for all he has done for us and for the wonderful life we are so fortunate to live.

There are a couple people who would not accept no for an answer...my Sister in law being one of them. She came by on Saturday with her sweet family with this bag of goodies and let me just tell you that I love it all! Thank you Aunt Stacey, Uncle James, Hunter & Camryn...we can not wait for you all to meet Baby Gavin.


Is this stuff not the cutest? I can not wait to see my sweet babies in all of this...this is what I call eye candy ~ yummy, yummy, yummy!

On Safari...Nursery Debut

Finally, 4 days before little Gavin Thomas Frazier is scheduled to arrive...his Nursery is complete. We finally got our 2nd crib in that we ordered, so we were able to move the "Itty Bitty" into her new crib and move our other crib over just in time for the little guy's arrival.

I am so excited to share Gavin's Nursery with all of you and we are so proud of the finished product. I am going to post lost of pictures, so here we go. Sit down, buckle up for your Safari Jeep tour and enjoy your visit through our wildlife reserve.

We plan to quickly add a picture to the frame over his bed of his sweet little self as soon as we can get one of him. The sign over the bed reads "All creatures great and small, the Lord God made them all."

This Orangutan is one of our favorite parts of his room and Emma's too.

The frame on the wall will hold two pictures of Gavin and the matte will be signed by all our visitors with a Brown Fine Tip Sharpie. Our photographer will come and do hospital shots of us soon after Gavin's arrival and we plan to use those in this frame.

This is it...I am so proud of the HOTY for the wonderful job he did and for devoting so much of his time to making sure that Gavin had the perfect nursery. It is everything I dreamed of and more!

It is Official...6 more days

Yes, next Thursday is the day. I will be having Gavin via C Section at noon 6 days from today and I can not wait. Please lift me up in prayer if you think about it ~ I am a little nervous. I visited my Dr. yesterday and my cervix is still hard as a rock, no dilation and nothing has changed. He quickly informed me that he did not suspect that anything would change and he planned to see me in the operating room next week on Thursday. This is the same way it worked out with the "Itty Bitty" which required me to have a C Section last time too. I must admit, I asked him if we could go ahead and take care of it right then and there. I am so ready and so BIG! Things still look really good and Gavin's heartbeat is strong and healthy.

I could not help but look back at some pictures of my sweet baby girl on the day she was born when our lives changed forever....oh it seems like so long ago, but it really wasn't. I can not wait to see Baby Gavin for the first time.

Here is a picture of Emma the very 1st time we laid our eyes on her, it was amazing how we fell in love with her instantly. Oh, the days can not come quick enough till my Dr. holds my little guy up for the first time and I lay eyes on him too.

I had a little scare this morning and did not feel Gavin moving like his usual little rowdy self. Thank goodness, I have a connection through a teacher at my school that volunteers at the Pregnancy Crisis Center and we ran over and got to have a quick little ultrasound. Uh, no wonder the poor little guy was not moving ~ there is NO room left in there. I am not kidding his arms are so close and tight to his little body and up under his chin. Poor thing...he is ready to come out and meet his Mommy. I am thinking he is going to be a really BIG BOY and so is the Dr.

From the looks of today's ultrasound, he looked alot like Emma to me. Big round face, very little hair and really big cheeks. The truth is...I don't care what he looks like, I just want him to be healthy and be here.

Please keep us in your prayers over the next week as we grow from 3 to the Frazier Four!

Do you see what I see?

The time is near and I am getting nervous as a cat around a swimming pool. I guess reality set in even more when I got in the car earlier this week, looked in the rear view mirror and BOOM this is what I see. Exactly what I have always wanted and dreamed my life would be like, but it is still a little hard to believe. Yes, I have become a SUV driving, two car seat toting, 2 crib having, pony tail wearing, diaper bag carrying MOMMY! I like it, I love it...I want some more of it! I am sure that I am not the only one in shock...those of you who knew me in my single days are probably asking yourselves...what the heck too?


Oh, our life is about to change in only 13 short days. I can not help but sit around and wonder...What is it going to be like? Will I ever sleep? How is Emma going to be with a baby Brother? What is he going to look like? Will he be like Emma? Is he going to be a good baby or a fussy one?

I have been talking to a couple friends about what they think Gavin is going to look like and they all think he is going to look like a Fabian (my side of the family...dark hair and dark eyes). Time will tell, my gut tells me he is going to be red headed and blue eyed like his Big Sister.

Uh, when I looked at this....I am thinking we might have to move our Little Man over. I can just see Emma now trying to Mother him to pieces from her seat. I am sure she will be poking her fingers everywhere she can, touching him, trying to share her sippie cup with him, putting dog-dogs on top of him and no telling what else.

I can not wait to put Gavin in his little seat and bring him home, so we can start our life as the Frazier Four!

So Little & So Much Love

We celebrated our last Valentine's Day as a family of 3. It was pretty laid back, but it was fun. No fancy meals, no reservations, no lavish gifts... just a simple day. We actually went to a little neighborhood Mexican Restaurant called LaVilla where the bill totaled $18.00, exchanged cards and gave the "Itty Bitty" the new Space Buddies movie (which we have watched about 4 times already). Simple and sweet just the way I like it!


Our littlest Valentine...oh she is so sweet! Notice, she has a dog-dog in her arms.

Opening her new Space Buddies movie...and yes it is about dogs. She will not watch any other movies, but the ones about the Buddies. We are excited, they will be releasing another new one in time for Christmas.

Here she is reading her dog-dog book that one of her little friends gave her for Valentines Day. Her latest thing she walks around saying is "I love it, I love it"...oh I wish she could stay this small forever. I am enjoying this age so much.

Valentine Party @ MDO

Yep, I am a little or should I say alot behind on posting. Needless to say, we have tons of stuff going on around our house to prepare for our Little Man that will be arriving in 14 days. However, I wanted to get the "Itty Bitty's" 2nd Valentine posted.


Here are the little treat bags we took to her MDO party for all her friends. It was hard to find stuff to give to little ones that was somewhat healthy and not junk. We decided on Goldfish, Fruit Snacks and of course her Dog-Dog cards.



Here are all the little Valentines she got at the party. Can you guess which one was her favorite. It should not be too hard...of course it was the Puppy Love book in the middle.


She was so excited to be sitting by her special friend Hannah and having a cookie.

A party is just not a party without a Juice box. As you know, we do not let her have juice...only milk and water. She kindly reminded us across the room how much she liked it in front of all the other parents by loudly telling us, "I like juice, I like juice".

The party was over and she still had a cookie in her hand and her goody bag in the other. It was super fun and I am so glad that Daddy and I could be a part of your special day.

My Favorite Valentine

Just thought I would share a couple pictures of the sweetest Valentine of all with each of you. These pictures were taken earlier in the week, at her request. Yes, I got her dressed for a Dr. appointment and she said, "Mommy picture". I think she thought she was looking so cute that we needed to capture this moment and she was so RIGHT.

Today is her Valentine Party at MDO, so we will be headed there about 11:00 to deliver our goodies and enjoy the festivities. I took a picture of our goodie bags that I will have to post a little later. I was so proud of myself, I allowed her to choose her own Valentine Cards. I was not surprised at all with her choice...you got it DOG-DOGS. Who would have guessed, right? They are so cheesy, but exactly what she wanted and I guess that is what matters.

I know that I have said this a hundred times, but I really believe that we have one of the sweetest little girls on the face of the earth. The days are so enjoyable with her and she is so much FUN. She is so full of life and keeps us laughing all the time. I can not wait to see her face when she gets to meet her little brother in 19 more days. She is going to be an awesome Big Sister.

Change of Heart

It has been some time since I posted and life is getting busier by the day at our house. No pictures of Gavin's room to post, like promised...but they are coming I promise. His room is 90% done, however there is no baby bed in there yet.

Yes, we have had a change of heart. Our original plan was to put the "itty bitty" in her big girl bed and move the crib to Mr. Gavin's room. Well, last Saturday we started moving the furniture and got the dresser/changing table moved and suddenly realized...we are not ready for Emma to be out of a crib for many reasons.

After many long conversations, we have decided to store Emma's big girl bed and buy her a new crib. We are on the hunt for a cheap one too... and we will be moving our nice crib to Gavin's Nursery. Needless to say, we set out last Sunday to purchase another crib mattress and look for a crib that matches our existing furniture.


One of the main reasons we decided to hold off on the big girl bed has to do with the picture above. What you see is the bed rail that was suppose to attach to the side of her bed. I just needed to read the first couple bullets and I was like NO WAY, my 19 month old baby girl is NOT going in this bed with this rail. Not worth the worry. Never did I imagine that I would have 2 cribs in my house at one time, but it is reality and I am so EXCITED.

Only 20 more days and I will have my baby boy in my arms...oh, I can not wait to see his sweet little face. It is going to be a great day for all of us and it is oh so close.

So much to do, so little time!

Oh, if you could just see my list of things to do...it is crazy and enough to stress out anyone, not to mention a lady who is 28 days away from having a baby. Bottom line is...it will get done and Gavin will be born on March 5th and that will be a very special day for all of us.

Pre registered, set up to donate Cord Blood, have appointment made with new Pediatrician, ordered a baby book, had some Thank you cards made with Gavin's monogram, got curtains to lady making them, scheduled for crown molding to be hung, ordered last minute stuff for room, had to get Emma a big sister shirt and Gavin a little brother shirt (thank you Aunt Stacey for your help), have stuff ready for photographer when Gavin is born, need to pack and the list just goes on and on. Not to mention, need to finish the nursery, move Emma into her big girl bed, charge the cameras and video recorder...oh my, I am freaking out as I type.

Perhaps I should reconsider working up until 3:30 on March 4th and going in to have a C-Section the next morning or I should just get a blue cape with a BIG S on it...would that stand for Super-Mommy or Stupid? Just kidding, please don't answer.

My husband just keeps telling me, we will get it all done... we will get it all done. When & How?

Not to mention, I am trying to pour all my attention and love into the "Itty Bitty" so this is a smooth and wonderful transition for her as well.

Okay, I need to stop and just stay organized...my issues are little in the grand scheme of things...it is all going to be okay...perhaps not PERFECT, but okay.

Little update on the room.......

Stripes are complete, the rest of the room will be blue and the crown molding is scheduled to be hung this week. I should have 90% complete Nursery pictures posted Sunday evening.

By the way... not sure if you have been missing me, but my computer crashed and it is time to buy a new one. However, I am not wanting to spend the money right now to purchase a new one. I know all my friends are excited to hear that the 8 year old Compaq will be out the door soon. Please pray that all my pictures are able to be retrieved off the hard drive. We have ordered a cable to do that, so wish the HOTY luck.

All in all... we are good. Very excited about welcoming this little BOY into our family. I can not wait to share pictures of him with all of you.

Tea Party

Tea for two? Nope, it looks like it is tea for one today. The "Itty Bitty" decided to have a little tea party the other day while she played dress up. Wonder what the HOTY is going to do one day when he walks in her room and she has Gavin on the floor dressed in one of her pettiskirts and they are having their own little tea party? I am almost certain that it is going to happen one day.

I don't know that little girls get any sweeter than this...I could just eat her up!

I love how hard she is concentrating in this one to get that tea poured into her cup.

Looks like her creamer has fallen over and now she is attempting to put tea on the plate. I love this age and I am so in love with this little girl.

Only 34 more days and I will be able to share my love with one more of God's Littlest Miracles. These days find me wondering who he will look like, what color hair he will have, how big he will be and if he will come earlier.

Speaking of Miracles...Look at Baby Harper...now she is some kind of CUTE, isn't she? Great things God has done and continues to do through this little one! She looks like one happy girl and I know she has one happy Mommy right now!

Only 4 more left...

Thought I would give you guys an update on the walls...only 4 stripes left to do and then the crown molding will be ready to go up. I am very excited to see Gavin's nursery finished, but I must say it has been a looooonnnnnngggg process with these stripes. The HOTY has spent so much time working on these. Our original plan was to stripe 2 walls, but I think the 2nd wall might get painted blue at this point. It is taking so much time because the stripes have to dry for 3-4 days before you can put tape on it to do the next one. That pretty much leaves the weekends only for him to work on it. We are hoping it will be finished up this weekend.

I knew that Gavin's Daddy could do this and do a perfect job. I am so PROUD of him and he is so PROUD of himself.

This is the picture we had Emma finger paint for her LITTLE BROTHER, not sure if we will put it on the striped or the solid wall. We kind of like it on the solid wall best, it adds lots of color.

I just got this back from having Gavin's name added to it, along with a small border & cheetah print on the sides that match his bedding. I love it so much ~ it made me want to cry when I saw it, because of the sentimental value behind it. Emma is so proud of it and just keeps saying, "I paint, I paint." I think it turned out perfect. This picture was taken off one of my students cell phones at school, so it is not the best.

It won't be long now and I will be the Mommy of 2 sweet babies and I can hardly wait. Life is going to be different for us, but I am confident that we can handle it and it is only going to get better!

Sibling Class

Yesterday we took the "itty bitty" to her sibling class at the hospital. We had been talking to her about this for several days, so she was excited to go see the babies.

Oh, I think this baby girl is going to do just fine. Nope, they did not teach them to do CPR ~ she was just giving her baby some kisses.

They gave each of them a diaper to put on their babies. It was tiny, we are in size 6 diapers at our house and it has been a while since we had seen one that small. Well, really we never did...Emma was a big girl when she was born.

This was Emma getting her certificate that certified her to be a BIG SISTER! She also got a little shirt for her efforts in class.

The sibling class was really cute to us. Emma was probably a little young to understand everything they covered, but she paid attention to the video they showed and part of the lesson that was taught. She really enjoyed the hospital tour and seeing the babies. When she saw them she began hitting on the glass and screaming, "baby, my baby, baby." Her Daddy had to explain to her that she was going to wake the babies up, so then she started telling us, "Shh, baby sleeping."

As we were leaving and we got on the elevator to go home we asked her, "how many babies did you see" and she said, "alot." My heart tells me she is going to really love Baby Gavin.
