Blessed and Singing

Emma will begin going to a little Methodist School towards the end of August. She will only be attending on Tuesday and Thursday from 8-12 and then she will be with Mrs. Jenny (our Angel sent from Heaven)...well she refuses to be called a baby sitter. We have truly been so blessed to have this family in our lives. I work with Kevin at school and Jenny is a SAHM/Domestic Engineer and a great one at that. They have two wonderful children, Tori and David (Day Day) that Emma absolutely adores and they feel the same way about her. We can not Thank them enough for welcoming Emma into their home and making her feel like one of them. I guess you really know that your child is happy when they cry not to come home with you. My hats off to Jenny for loving and caring for Emma like she is one of her own.
The HOTY and I have agreed that we would give the school a 4 week trial run before we decided if it was the right place for the "itty bitty". They don't know this and hopefully will not find out...there is a heck of a waiting list to get in...I put Emma on it when I was 7 months pregnant and I think we only got in because of Mrs. Jenny's reputation at the school. Kinda felt like we were applying to Rice. However, I am already a little sad about it...I asked the HOTY today when he got home, "Uh, what will Emma do in the mornings when she normally takes naps?" There is no nap time there in the mornings. Uh-Oh...guess we will figure all that out when we go to Parent Orientation.
I am NOT just rambling...there is a method to my madness...I have been thinking that I wanted to make up a little song that Curtis and I could sing to Emma everyday when she was left at school or Mrs. Jenny's that would follow her through the years. If you know me very well, you know that I am constantly singing songs to the "itty bitty"..songs from the Radio...songs I learned in VBS... folk songs my 85 year old Papa sang to me... but my favorite songs are the ones I make up and add my own words too. Yes, I can see us singing this to her when she is a Senior too. It goes a little something like this.... we will sing it to the tune of "the Farmer and the Dell"....
Have a great day, Have a great day
Use all your manners and have a great day
Yes Ma'am, No Sir, Thank You and Please
Mommy & Daddy said use all of these
We love you Emma & Jesus does too
We don't love anyone as much as you
So, Have a great Day, Have a great Day
Make us proud and have a great day!
I called the HOTY at work today to let him know that the song was complete, guess we will have some singing lessons around here this weekend. I am hoping Emma will love it. Oh, there is a patent pending...so all you Mommy's out there...watch it!

Party Pictures Promised

Cake table at the party...this gives you a sneak peak of what it was all about...to see more you can go to http://www.babyfrazier.com/ and the password is curtis. Oh and yes, I made the cupcakes and the HOTY decorated them. They were quite yummy too.
You tell me...do you think she liked the cake? This "itty bitty" wasted no time digging in...
Emma provided sweets treats to everyone on her special day... all the kids got to decorate a colored Chinese carry out box and then fill it with goodies on the way out the door.
This was Emma's present from Mommy & Daddy (Emma's Enchanted Kingdom). The kids had lots of fun playing on it at the party and we hope Emma will enjoy it for years to come.
Emma in her Birthday chair and outfit looking like a little doll. She was such a trooper and helped open all of her gifts. It was a very special first Birthday that consisted of Fairies and Fun.

My BFF and Emma drinking it up!

Here is the picture of Emma and my BFF at the bar in Puerta Vallarta. I promised you one of her enjoying a Strawberry Daiquiri and there you have it. It does not look like it gets much better than this...a nice drink and her RaRa. She probably wishes we could go back there more often, so she can be on sugar overload. Perhaps we might have to surprise her and get her one when we are out to dinner next time. Don't you just want to squeeze her?

Tomorrow is a big day for us. Emma goes for her 1 year Doctor appointment. Looking forward to seeing what this "itty bitty" weighs and measures. Oh, that is if we can get her on the scale because we all know she is TERRIFIED of the Doc. Daddy can not make the appointment and Mommy sure will miss him ~ he is the one that usually does the dirty work.

One last thing...I will be picking the Birthday Pics up from the Paparazzi tomorrow if she is not buried knee deep in her garage sale, even if she is...we will pay her a visit.

My Daddy's the Big Kahuna!

Kahuna is a Hawaiian word, defined as "Priest, sorcerer, magician, wizard, minister, expert in any profession." Yes, Emma does think her Daddy is the big Kahuna (hence the shirt and the smile). So, his area of expertise would have to be.....Daddy! If you have spent much time around Emma and the HOTY, you know this kid thinks he hung the moon. I must admit...he did. Emma's favorite things about her Daddy....he plays with her, puts her in her crib every night, whispers in her ear before she goes to sleep (it must be a secret, because I am never able to hear what he says), reads to her, feeds her, bathes her, changes her, swings her, makes her laugh, tickles her, always keeps batteries in her toys, sings to her, brushes her teeth, combs her hair, gets her up every morning, always tells her he loves her and many, many more. So I just wanted to say, Thank you Curtis for being such a wonderful Daddy and for loving Emma unconditionally.

Living in a Dog Pound

Yes, we feel like we are living in a dog pound these days. Our "itty bitty" is obsessed with dogs. I told the HOTY yesterday, to heck with taking Emma to the zoo... she would have a better time at the SPCA. Here she is with her very own...Beamer...he is our Dachshund that she absolutely adores and yes, he feels the same way about her too. Lets see, we now have 5 stuffed dogs, 2 dog videos and 2 dog books. Every time we go outside Emma is shouting, "dog, dog, dog, dog, dog"... of course it makes my heart happy that she loves dogs so much. Now the HOTY, that is another story. He told me before Emma was born that he would tell her that dogs bite, so she would not like them...needless to say...she is a lover of Dogs. It is her favorite word to say and she says it from sun up till sun down.
Speaking of favorite words, the HOTY an I are amazed at the rate Emma's vocabulary is expanding. She is a little chatterbox...here are the 16 words she is saying as of today (yes, they are in order...we keep a running list on the fridge). I know, I know...we are NERDS!
1. Daddy
2. Mommy
3. Uh-oh
4. Dog
5. Duck
6. Light
7. Night Night
8. Wow
9. Whoa
10. Kitty
11. Ice
12. Day Day (this is David, he is the son of Mrs. Jenny)
13. Baby
14. Blue (if we put objects in front of her she picks out the blue one)
15. Balloon
16. Bow (as in her hair bow)
Don't worry we will continue to keep a running list and keep you guys posted. For now, we are off to the pool in the neighborhood.

Fun In the Sun

Look at that cutie....
this picture was taken on June 15th, Emma's real Birthday (compliments of Uncle Wayne that lives in Dallas). We ventured out to Magnolia to spend the day with family in Dwain & Marla's backyard. When you walk into their backyard you suddenly get lost in paradise. They just happen to have the most beautiful pool I have ever seen and they are always gracious enough to extend an open invitation to all of us. My sister-in-law jokes and says she bought a membership to the Country Club and her and her family plan to visit every Sunday. It is big fun out there and also very relaxing. So ~ Thanks guys for always being such great host.
As for Emma, she loves the water and the swimming pool. She spent 5 days in Puerto Vallarta about 2 weeks ago and she was a trooper. She spent her days in the pool pointing to the swim up bar in hopes of talking us into....1 more non alcoholic Strawberry Daquiri. Now this my friends was a sight to see...once she locked her lips around that straw, they were not coming off. She was a lover of Daquiris and the pool, quite a good traveler too. I will have to post some pictures soon of that vacation. It was a great time had by all.
Oh, I have not forgotten...Birthday Party pics will be posted soon too. The paparazzi is all tied up with a wedding right now, but I plan to chase her down when the sun comes up in the morning.

Happy Birthday to You

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Emma, Happy Birthday to you!!! As I sit and type, I am still in disbelief that my baby is 1 year & 7 days old. This past week the HOTY and I have reminisced over and over again about what we were doing, this time last year. Lets see...this time last year we had been home from the hospital for 3 days and we were nestled into our home with our new bundle of joy; probably a little exhausted and overwhelmed. The days seemed to pass so slowly and the nights seemed to go by so quickly (sleep deprivation had certainly set in). I think we must have looked at Emma everyday for the first 6 months and asked each other, "can you believe we are parents" ~ if I am being quite honest, we sometimes still ask one another that. Now, here we are 1 year later asking God to bless us with another healthy baby. A baby as perfect, sweet, loving, funny, smart, beautiful and easy going as little Emma ~ she has been the perfect baby in our eyes. We can not keep our hands or lips off this "itty bitty", some call it spoiled...we call it GREATLY LOVED.

I am the Mommy of a 1 Year Old

Here we go...I have been pondering this blog for several months and wanting to "kick her off" on Emma's 1st Birthday. I hope I am not getting in over my head with Emma's Website, Scrapbooking and now this blog... I wanted to give it a shot. My HOTY (husband of the year) thinks I am crazy and maybe I am (oh and my favorite Sister-in-Law does too). I have been "blog stalking" for a couple months now and have been inspired by others to begin my own journey into the world of blogging.

Wow ~ Yes, I am the Mommy of a One Year Old. I am blessed to be the Mommy of Emma Caroline Frazier, the daughter that God hand picked for us. This "itty bitty" is hilarious and she keeps us laughing and on our toes at all times ~ oh and she is helping to keep us young too. We celebrated Emma's 1st Birthday on Saturday and it was some kind of fun. As the Paparazzi would say, "I was all jacked up on Mountain Dew" kind of fun. You can see above that she is not just witty, but also very talented...that there is some kind of fancy invite, you agree? Me and the HOTY worked really hard to make this Birthday a success... it went off without a hitch and did I mention, we had a BLAST! We were most appreciative of the 64 family & friends who celebrated our baby girl with us. Pictures should be posted soon.
